Homework on the Web

2-10-99: An instructor posts homework exercises on the course web page, having students send in their responses.  Students' comments and work reveal immediately (on the same day as the class) what the students got or not about a concept. Visit this segment of an online presentation (without PowerPoint) to see sample questions and answers of the instructor and students.

The 3 formats used include:

conceptual essays

multiple-choice

bullet

quantitative (computational) problems.
