In Fall, 1999, only two students earned A's in one online section and over half the class never really got started and ended up with W's or F's.  Such low success rates are not unusual for distance education sections, but it's not good enough.  To avoid falling by the wayside, you need to be aware of and learn to handle the things that can go wrong--and contact your professor to help you get through.  Here are some ideas for starting handle problems of all sorts that may arise in an online college course.
